I am writing from a computer in my study abroad center, so I might make a few typos because of the German keyboard. But I'll do my best! I haven't had the most exciting week, but every day has still been a mini adventure. I ended up going back to the Rathaus on Sunday night, and it was an incredible performance! We brought chocolate bars and sat and watched the broadcast of an incredible performance by the Viennese Philharmonic.
On Monday, the weather drastically changed from in the 90's on Sunday to the 50's and raining on Monday. It was the craziest weather change I have ever experienced! It's still cold as of right now, but it is supposed to warm up this weekend. (As in back into the 60's...we'll see!) So I spent most of Monday enjoying my cozy old apartment and studying my German. On Monday night, a couple of my friends came over and we (and by 'we' I mean 'them') made delicious fried rice with chicken. It was so yummy and it reminded me of home. It was nice to sit down at home and have a nice meal.
Then on Tuesday (yesterday), I hiked to class in the rain again and went home and studied for a bit. After studying, I went over to my friends' and we had yet another giant pizza for €2.90! It was so delicious. Then on the U-bahn home, I experienced a feeling that I am sure is very familiar for Leah...a huge Bueno Bar craving! So I went home, ate Bueno Bars, and studied German. It doesn't sound like a very exciting day, but even a day like that is fun because walking to class and getting to my friends' apartment, I'm surrounded by beautiful historic buildings all the time.
Today I went to class and made a fool of myself while reading a German dialog that I wrote, so I definitely need to study before my test tomorrow. Tomorrow is my last test before our final, so it's a big one. Once we've studied for a bit, we're going to go on a tour of the St. Michael Basilica, which is about a 10 minute walk from our school. It's a beautiful historic church that has an amazing-looking interior and probably some other famous things that I guess I will find out on my tour! Oh, and I forgot to mention that after class I treated myself to an incredible shokocroissant from Anker...my breakfast splurge for the week! But other than that, nothing to big happening for me over here. Lots of exciting plans for the weekend, but I will write about those later! :) Miss you all!! Auf Wiedersehen!
